Usher’s 5-Year-Old Rushed To Hospital After A Pool Accident

Usher

Usher’s five year old son, Usher Raymond V, was rushed to the intensive care unit of Atlanta hospital after an accident in the singer’s pool on Monday.

The ‘Climax’ hit maker’s son was reportedly playing with his auntie in the pool when the incident occurred.

According to TMZ, the child tried to retrieve a toy from a drain inside the pool when his arm became stuck.

After several attempts by the aunt and the family’s maid to free the child’ arm, two men working in the house raced out and eventually managed to set him free.

According to the website the young boy was given CPR and then taken by ambulance to the nearby hospital.

It is believed that the child is going to be fine, but however, the details of his official status have not yet been disclosed.

Both Usher and ex-wife Tameka Raymond are believed to be by the hospital bedside of their eldest son.

The shocking incident follows after the death of Usher’s 11-year-old stepson Kile Glover last year.

The youngster was announced brain dead after being struck by a personal water craft on Lake Lanier, Georgia. He later died of heart failure whilst on life support.

Jay Z, Kanye West, Rihanna Join Wonder’s Florida Boycott Following George Zimmerman Verdict

Jay Z, Kanye West, Rihanna

According to reports, some of the music industry’s biggest artists have joined Stevie Wonder in boycotting Florida over the state’s controversial ‘stand your ground’ law.

The acts that have started joining Wonder include Justin Timberlake, Usher, Rod Stewart and Madonna, as a source close to the legendary musician revealed to American Urban Radio Network’s April Ryan.

Rappers Jay Z, Kanye West, Young Jeezy, Wale and Trey Songz have also signed on to the boycott threat as well as pop acts including R. Kelly, Rihanna and Alicia Keys.

After a Florida jury acquitted George Zimmerman of a second – degree murder charges restricting from the death of Trayvon Martin, Wonder announced his intentional boycott the day after it was announced and hit the headlines worldwide through countless media outlets.

The singer said: “I decided today that until the ‘stand your ground’ law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again. As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world.

“For those that we have lost in the battle for justice, wherever that fits in any part of the world — we can’t bring them back.”

He continued: “[What] we can do is we can let our voices be heard. And we can vote in our various countries throughout the world for change and equality for everybody. That’s what I know we can do.”

Several musicians have also gestured their support for Martin: Beyonce held a moment of silence during a concert in Nashville, Tennessee and sang the song I Will Always Love You, originally written and sung by Dolly Parton and bought to a global audience by the late Whitney Houston. The singer also met Martin’s parents during a rally in New York City along with husband Jay Z. Bruce Springsteen also dedicated a song to ‘justice for Trayvon Martin’ during a concert in Limerick, Ireland.

The ‘stand your ground’ self-defence laws in Florida and two dozen other states allow individuals to defend themselves without requiring them to attempt to avoid or retreat from a dangerous situation. Even though Zimmerman did not specifically employ a “stand your ground” law defence to fight second-degree murder charges in the killing of Florida teen Trayvon Martin, the trial has brought a changed scrutiny to the statutes.

According to Ryan’s report, some of the recording artists have already cancelled shows in the Sunshine State.

On the album he is prepared to rap alongside Busta Rhymes on a track titled Drummer Boy. He will also collaborate with Mississippi trio The Band Perry and a duet with soul and R&B singer Mariah Carey in a renewed version of her holiday standard All I Want For Christmas Is You.

In a short video posted by Justin, Mariah talks about the collaboration saying: “The song sounds great. I’m very excited for everybody to hear it this Christmas.”

Another collaboration to feature on the Christmas album is Boyz II Men. Speaking to MTV News Boyz II Men’s Nathan Morris said the group would love to team up with Justin again after recording Fa La  La: “Oh, without a doubt. We just have to figure out the right circumstance.”

He continued to talk about two different genres coming together and being put on a record, describing it to be ‘special’: “This was perfect for us because, you know, we wanted to try to make sure that the first song we did together was something that people could accept the two artists doing together. … If there’s a soundtrack or whatever that comes along that we can create something special, that’ll be hot.”

The boyband were also impressed at how the teen superstar attitude was to working alongside them and the respect they have for him: “We respect him, man.

He added: “I watch what he does, I watch what the people around him do, and they’re guiding him in the right directions. You don’t hear anything bad about this guy. He has his head on straight.”

Fans will also be treated to another single with mentor and R&B singer Usher will sing on the track titled The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire. This isn’t the first time they have sung on a track together on Somebody To Love Remix.

Talking to Billboard Bieber explained why he wanted to collaborate with them saying: “They’ve been really successful and great in the country world, so I wanted to get them on my Christmas album and cross some barriers and try to get some different audience members to listen to my music.”

And speaking of challenging other genres as rap and country music he expressed how lucky he was to be able to do that with the help of the internet: “I guess I can be pretty versatile – being able to do country music and put out a record of me rapping on the internet.

“I just think that with the internet, not a lot of artists can be taken seriously if they try to change lanes and so I made it kind of apparent at first that I love to do everything and people kind of take me seriously when I switch over, so I’m really lucky to be able to have that.”

And if that wasn’t enough, the Baby hit maker has recorded a track with singer Chris Brown titled Christmas Eve which was co-written and co-produced by Chris Brown.

The album Under The Mistletoe will be released November 1. The album will include a mixture of genres that will show Bieber fusing with different sounds including country & western.
