The latest speculations in B –Town had the possibility of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Hrithik Roshan reuniting on the screen after 12 years.

The two actors who were much adored as a duo in Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Sooraj Barjatya’s Mein Prem Ki Deewani Hoon were last seen in Subhash Ghai’s Yaadein in 2003.

Sadly, Gupta took to Twitter to clarify the news. He wrote: “It would be any director’s dream come true to get Hrithik and Kareena together for a film. But we have not finalised our heroine yet.”

A source revealed to BollywoodLife.com: “Kareena was reportedly approached for the role and she even liked the script, but she declined the offer at the end.”

The two superstars were also supposed to pair up for Shhuddhi, but the film went Salman Khan before going to Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt; eventually to be shelved for good.

The makers are on the lookout for another actress and will be making the announcement soon. The film will start shooting from February and go on till May and will be produced by Rakesh Roshan.

Alia Bhatt To Play Bihari Migrant ‘Udta Punjab’

It has been revealed Alia Bhatt will be playing the role of a Bihari migrant in her new project Udta Punjab. Her character will be a daily wage labourer who comes to Punjab for job prospects but ends up being a victim to drug trafficking.

Bhatt has previously played characters hailing from urban backgrounds but it is the first time she will be playing a rural character. The role is the actress’ toughest and most intense role yet she has played, according to reports.

The movie will be directed by Abhishek Chaubey and produced by Phantom Films and Balaji Motion Pictures. Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh will also star in the movie in leading roles.

Udta Punjab revolves around the issue of drug abuse in Punjab.

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Gabbar Is Back’ Makes Rs 47 Crore

Akshay Kumar’s latest film Gabbar Is Back has amassed Rs 47 crore since hitting theatres last weekend. After receiving mixed reviews the film has impressed the viewers; opening with Rs 13.05 crore at the box office on the first day, beating Ranbir Kapoor-Arjun Rampal starrer Roy which grossed Rs 11.35 crore.

Though films like Anushka Sharma’s NH10, Varun Dhawan’s Badlapur, and Akshay’s Baby have done well at the box office Gabbar Is Back marks to be the biggest opener of 2015.

Akshay Kumar plays a Messiah called Gabbar, fighting against injustice and corruption. The film has been directed by Krish and co-produced Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Shruti Haasan stars in the female lead whilst Kareena Kapoor Khan makes a special appearance.

Bollywood is yet to see more big releases: Piku starring Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone is next to hit the silver screen followed by Bombay Velvet starring Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor. Kangana Ranaut’s Tanu Weds Manu Returns and multi-starrer Dil Dhadakne Do starring Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh and Anil Kapoor are also set to be released.

Alia Bhatt To Play Drug Addict In Udta Punjab

Alia Bhatt’s latest role will see her playing a drug addict in Abhishek Chaubey’s forthcoming film Udta Punjab will be produced by Phantom Films and Balaji Motion Pictures. The film which deals with drug peddling will see the actress alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor. 

The role is said to be rather intense to portray, something that will test the actress as it is the first Ali has never acted in such space before. The portrayal of an abused and kidnapped youngster in Highway won her high praises so she has a lot of pressure to outdo herself.

We are yet to find out what Shahid’s role is within the film. All we know is that he will be sporting a bohemian look for the film. Kareena, on the other hand will will be portraying a desi look, wearing simple salwar kameez as her character is supposedly a working woman.

Kareena Kapoor Khan: ‘I Cherish Private Life Outside Of Bollywood’

Kareena Kapoor Khan has said that she chooses to be private about her life outside Bollywood.

The actress told The Hindustan Times: “The key is to realise that we are here to work in this industry. I’m not over-friendly with anyone, I don’t get into anyone’s personal space because I don’t want people to get into mine. I have a life outside of films.

“Some of my friends are from the industry but most of them are not. So that is a part of life that I cherish. I go to work and come back. I want to keep it like that – go to work, come home and let my work talk more than anything else.”

She went on to add that acting remains her main priority despite being married. The 32 – year – old married her long – term boyfriend Saif Ali Khan last year in October after courting for five years.

She continued: “Saif has been shooting for Bullet Raja and I have shot for Dabangg 2 song and promoted Talaash.

“I have also shot for eight brands since the wedding. We actors sign up brands then we forget that we have to give them four days each to shoot.

“I have been shooting every day. Work is my passion and Saif respects that.”

Its official! Kareena Kapoor has addressed the long rumours that she has chosen not to take on her new surname – Khan.

In a recent interview, the actress said: “I kee telling people to please address me as Kareena Kaoor Khan. Besides, that’s my name, isnt it? Although ive not converted, Saif is my husband and it’s a beautiful surname to have.”

In the past, actresses have been known to use their original screen name after marriage but it has since changed. The actress reportedly has been insired by Aishwarya Rai who started to use ‘Bachchan’ after she married Abhishek Bachchan.

Kareena and Karishma Kapoor have both expressed their thoughts on actor Aamir Khan. The two sisters and Bollywood actresses have called Aamir Khan “a living legend.”

Talking to The Times Of India Kareena said: “Aamir is a living legend. He has a beautiful mind and he definitely is one of the finest actors of all time.”

Whilst Karishma added: “Aamir is most definitely an icon and a true legend. He is always up to something new and different. I’ve had the opportunity of working with him in iconic films like Raja Hindustani and Andaaz Apna Apna.

Talking about Kareena starring alongside with Aamir in 3 Idiots and Talaash, Karishma said she was pleased that the pair have bonded well: “I’m really happy that after Talaash and 3 Idiots even Kareena-Aamir relationship has become a hit pair.”
