On Tuesday, Chris Brown gushed about his romance with Rihanna in an interview and admitted she was ‘a wonderful person’ for accepting him back after he beat her. But it appears a few days later, things have changed between the two musicians.
During his interview with Los Angeles hip hop station Power 106 on Friday, the 23-year-old revealed that he and Rihanna have broken up.
Power 106 posted the announcement of Chris’ and Rihanna’s break up on their page which Chris made during an interview with them
Chris made the shocking revelation when he was asked directly by the interviewer: “Are you still with Rihanna?”
The rapper replied: “Uh, no – that’s the short answer.”
The radio station then announced the news with a tweet on their Twitter pge which stated: “Are you still w/ @Rihanna?” @ChrisBrown: “Uh,no-that’s the short answer” just now to @BigBoy POWER 106 LA @TuneIn http://bit.ly/o1QLJd
According to Fuse, the radio station who recorded the interview this week in Los Angeles and have released segments of it, have plans to post the interview online shortly.
Some fans have questioned whether the statement is factually true, to which Power 106 have not denied and are standing by the news, telling Fuse: “We wouldn’t have tweeted it if it wasn’t true.”
Rihanna, in the meantime, sent out a tweet early Friday morning that may refer to the break up, stating: “This is terrible.”
But he singer was quick to mysteriously delete the message a short while later, and instead re-tweet a message about her star sign Pisces:
“It’s the heart of a #Pisces that makes us soft mannered BUT is that same heart of a #Pisces that will make us get in your ass if needed.”
The news comes just days after Chris spoke with Ryan Seacrest about their reconciliation after he viciously battered her in a vicious 2009 attack, leaving her brutally bruised and injured.
In his most candid interview with Seacrest, he admitted to taking full responsibility for the incident, confessing that the attack was entirely his fault.
He told Ryan Seacrest in an interview with KIIS-FM radio on Tuesday: “It’s all about my responsibility.”
The singer acknowledged that he tried his best to change himself over the years after the incident and was uncertain whether Rihanna would ever speak to him again until their recent reconciliation.
He added that he was ‘eternally grateful’ that Rihanna forgave him which lead to their reconciliation.
He said: “I just tried my best to be the best man I could be over the years and just show her how remorseful and sorry I was for the incident and that time was probably the worst part of my life and being that she has and she’s a wonderful person I’m eternally grateful and thankful.”
