The latest speculations in B –Town had the possibility of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Hrithik Roshan reuniting on the screen after 12 years.

The two actors who were much adored as a duo in Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Sooraj Barjatya’s Mein Prem Ki Deewani Hoon were last seen in Subhash Ghai’s Yaadein in 2003.

Sadly, Gupta took to Twitter to clarify the news. He wrote: “It would be any director’s dream come true to get Hrithik and Kareena together for a film. But we have not finalised our heroine yet.”

A source revealed to BollywoodLife.com: “Kareena was reportedly approached for the role and she even liked the script, but she declined the offer at the end.”

The two superstars were also supposed to pair up for Shhuddhi, but the film went Salman Khan before going to Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt; eventually to be shelved for good.

The makers are on the lookout for another actress and will be making the announcement soon. The film will start shooting from February and go on till May and will be produced by Rakesh Roshan.

It has been a while since Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor have shred the silver screen together. And it seems that the two actors are collaborating again on a new movie as it has been confirmed. Fans can rejoice at the news as the two actors will be appearing opposite each other in Karan Johar and Karan Malhotra‘s forthcoming film.

Karan Johar told Times Of India: “When Karan (Malhotra) came to me with Shuddhi, his desire was to cast Hrithik and Kareena. I spoke to both of them and they were happy to be on board. The film is an intense love story and because it has a reincarnation theme, he has written a script that is dramatic and outstanding.

“Also, such a theme requires actors who can bring the desired intensity. To me, it is really an important casting. But I don’t look at it as a coup. Kareena is beautiful, talented and a powerhouse performer. And Hrithik, well, what can I say? He can melt a nation just with his eyes.”

The two were last paired together 10 years ago in Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon. Before that they also worked together in movies like Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Yaadein.

Fans can expect an intense drama in Shuddi. The film is said to be a passionate love story with a reinarnated theme weaved in a dramatic form.

Bollywood’s adaption of The Immortals Of MeluhaShuddi will have Hrithik starring as the male lead role as Shiva and Kareena as Princess Sati.

It will be be interesting to see whether the two actors can regain their magical chemistry once again for the screen as fans eagerly await for the anticipated move to release. But only time will tell!

Hrithik Roshan Takes A Medical Break, Postpones ‘Bang Bang’ And ‘Shuddhi’

Since going through a brain surgery, Hrithik Roshan has been advised to take a medical break away from his acting career in order to recover his health back.

As a result, the actor has had to postpone the shoots of his forthcoming movies Bang Bang and Shuddhi.

It was stimulatingly the set of Bang Bang − its Bollywood remake of the Tom Cruise starrer Knight and Day − which Roshan had started to shoot for when he had suffered the injury.

However, Roshan will start re – shooting for Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang in November which also stars Katrina Kaif.

And as it is thought, the actor prefers to do one movie at a time; it is assumed that Dharma Productions’ Shuddhi will now be released as early as next year.

In the meantime, Roshan will only be promoting his superhero flick Krrish 3. The film directed by his father Rakeysh Roshan has been scheduled to hit the screens on November 4, on Diwali.

Roshan’s father has been quoted in the Indian media that the surgery was a success and his would need several weeks to recover. However, a planned late July European shoot for Bang Bang has been delayed, according to newspaper Times of India.

Shortly before his surgery, the actor posted a message on his Facebook page: “We all know that we create a life of joy using the power of our mind. I’ve had the privilege of creating wonders with this amazing gift given to us called the brain. Occasionally, one must look within and realize its value. It gives us the power to see, hear, touch, smell and taste, it allows us to conquer fear and create courage to do things we never imagined.

“Maybe it’s time for me to feel the power literally. I am going to go through brain surgery on Sunday and want you to know that I am going in with absolute power to recover fast. My thanks to all of you for using the power of your mind to contribute to my life. Love you all.”
