Its reported Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has negotiated a £2 million contract to return to The X Factor this autumn.
The Sun reported the singer is said to have secured a £500,000 pay rise to re-join the show for another series after making her comeback in 2014 following a four year hiatus.
A source told the tabloid: “Cheryl knew she was in an incredibly strong position because Simon was desperate to get her back.”
The source added: “She loves the show anyway, but being given an extra half a million quid always helps. And as far as Simon is concerned it is money well spent.”
The paper also claimed Mel B and Louis Walsh will not be returning as judges which means it could be the first year without Louis on the panel since the show began in 2004.
The insider concluded: “Mel and Louis almost certainly aren’t re-signing, but Simon knows Cheryl is a huge draw, Her last contract was pretty impressive, but she is thrilled with this one.”
There has been speculations of Tulisa Contostavlos being lined up as a judge for the show yet nothing has been confirmed.
