The anticipating trailer for Furious 7; the seventh instalment of the long – running Fast & Furious series, has been released. The trailer features the late Paul Walker’s last appearance in the franchise since his heart breaking death in November 2013. Production was formerly paused following Walker’s death, pushing its release date from summer 2014 to April 2015.
The action packed trailer gives a first look at some of the craziest stunts and that have yet be to seen. The crew are revealed to be parachuting out of a plane in their vehicles, landing impeccably on the highway in quest of a machine gun hauling truck, with a human consignment inside. Paul Walker’s character is given the task of rescuing a young lady, Megan – played by Nathalie Emmanuel. Producers have revealed, Walker’s character will graciously be bowed out the series rather than be killed off onscreen.
The movie picks up from Fast 6; after several years, Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) and his “family” move back to America and are challenged by Ian Shaw (Jason Statham). The brother of Fast 6 antagonist Owen Shaw and the murderer of Fast & Furious character Han makes a return with revenge on his mind. The full crew all return, including Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, alongside with new characters in tow. UFC fighter Ronda Rousey, Ong–Bak star Tony Jaa and Kurt Russell.
Whilst Han, played by Sung Kang, won’t be making an appearance in Furious 7, actor Lucas Black, who appeared as the lead in The Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift, will make a return to the series. Although Tokyo Drift was produced as the third movie in the series, it was chronologically within the franchise’s universe. Furious 7 will realign the timeline to the present day. Granting an in depth of what is to be expected, Han’s death is included and therefore viewers are left wondering what is to be expected. Furious 7 is also the first in the series to be directed by Saw and The Conjuring filmmaker James Wan.
